Tina is a registered psychologist providing individual and couples assessment, counselling and therapy. As well as having Undergraduate, Honours & Post Graduate qualifications in Psychology from Macquarie University, Tina has the following associations, memberships and accreditations:

  • Approved Medicare Provider of Psychological Services
  • Member of the Australian Psychological Society

  • Approved WorkCover NSW Provider of Psychological Services

Tina has a wide range of experience having been employed in a variety of health settings including:

  • Private Practice: Providing services to the Hawkesbury Community at Awakened Psychology since 2009
  • Vocational Rehabilitation (assisting the long-term unemployed),
  • Conducting Research for Teaching & Learning
  • Working with children and teenagers with academic and behavioural difficulties, &
  • Disability Services Sector (assisting adults with intellectual disabilities)
  •  


    Tina has undertaken extensive training in a range of psychological therapies and techniques utilising treatment strategies which are well supported by scientific evidence for effectiveness and reliability. Tina employs a combination of psychological techniques including cognitive behavioural therapy, brief-solution focused therapy, acceptance & commitment therapy, mindfulness based cognitive therapy, interpersonal therapy, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for Trauma, dialectical behaviour therapy and motivational interviewing in order to facilitate supportive change.

      

    At Awakened Psychology we specialise in providing a warm and empathic response to concerns relating to depression, anxiety, self-esteem, self-harm, eating disorders, anger management, substance use, work and study stress, employment and career planning, trauma, grief and loss, relationships and change.
